The Belgian driver had held the provisional pole for most of the 15-minute session but Glorieux will have to start from the outside of the front row for this afternoon’s race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
The second row of the grid will be taken by the no99 N’Race Ligier of Alain Costa with the no79 Nielsen Racing Ligier of Tony Wells alongside. The French driver set a 1m27.566, just 0.120 ahead of Wells who set a 1m27.686 lap of the 4.3km track.
Emanuele Busnelli takes Second GT3 Pole of 2017
The no46 Ebimotors Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Emanuele Busnelli was the fastest of the six GT3 runners with a flying lap at the Red Bull Ring that saw the Italian post the only sub 1 minute 30 second lap with a 1m29.991.
The no75 Optimum Racing Audi of Flick Haigh was second fastest after pushing the leading Lamborghini for most of the qualifying session. Haigh improved her time three times in the final five minutes, with one lap being deleted for exceeding the track limits at T9, but the one that counted was the 1m30.339 that she posted as she took the chequered flag.
The 2-hour race at the Red Bull Ring will start at 16h00 this afternoon and will be round 3 of the 2017 Michelin Le Mans Cup.
