LMP3: Norma v Ligier
The DKR Engineering Norma M30-Nissan of Spain’s Alex Toril and Belgium’s Jean Glorieux is riding the crest of a wave after winning the second Road to Le Mans race in June and the two hour encounter at the Red Bull Ring last month. The Spanish/ Belgian duo are currently on 61 points, 17 points ahead of Silverstone race winners Tony Wells and Colin Noble in the Nielsen Racing Ligier-Nissan. The third placed team is the no98 Graff Ligier of Adrien Chila and Emilien Carde currently on 29.5 points.
GT3: Lamborghini v Mercedes
Emanuele Busnelli and Fabio Babini travel to France with an 8 point advantage after the Italian duo won in Austria last month in the no46 Ebimotors Lamborghini Huracan, the second podium of the year for the all Italian team. Busnelli and Babini are currently on 49.5 points with the Monza race winning no7 Lee Mowle Mercedes AMG of Phil Keen and team owner Lee Mowle on 41.5 points.
Round 4 of the 2017 Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place at Le Castellet on Saturday 26 August.
